Language training

Built on your actual level and your actual deadline.

Training is delivered online. The plan starts from an assessment of your current ability and of your position's communication requirements, rather than from an off-the-shelf curriculum, and it adjusts as you progress.

Second Language Evaluation

A programme built for the demands of the evaluation, written and oral alike.

The Government of Canada's Second Language Evaluation has demands of its own. Our programme is designed for those rather than for general conversation.

We work on strategy, time management and the kind of production expected.

Formats

Training formats

  • Two people in a live session facing a large screen showing the remote participants.

    Live online training

Group and one-on-one sessions on Microsoft Teams and Zoom, with a learning plan set according to the team's objectives and constraints.

  • NoubyaComing soon

    Noubya LMS and immersive modules

The platform will extend the work between sessions: structured paths, exercises and immersive modules. It is not yet open to learners.

  • A teacher and a learner going through a written exercise side by side.

    Workplace sessions, on request

Where a team needs it, sessions can be held on site. This is an option, not the default mode.

Group training

Small-group training

A group shares an objective and a calendar, but rarely a starting level. Everyone is therefore assessed before the group plan is written, and the pace is set from those gaps rather than from an average.

Group sessions run live on Microsoft Teams or Zoom, at a schedule agreed with the manager. One-on-one sessions can be added where someone needs targeted catch-up.

Levels A, B and C

Federal public service positions carry a linguistic profile expressed as level A, B or C for each of the three skills evaluated.

If you do not know your current level, the free assessment establishes it before any training plan is proposed. If you do know it, the plan starts from the gap between that level and the one your position requires.

Learning difficulties

We offer paths designed for learners with learning difficulties. Pace, workload and exercise types are adapted, without lowering the language objective.

Professional training — coming later

A professional training offering is in preparation under the Insitu brand. No details are settled yet.

Start with an assessment

Have your level assessed first.

The assessment is free and carries no commitment. It comes before any training proposal.
